How do you go about inviting a Egyptian school teacher to visit me in the United States?
Answer:
You ask them.
FYI, it is difficult for Egyptians to get permission to travel from the Egyptian goverment. They have to pay for the visa and aren't even guaranteed it when they do. I have a friend who has been trying for years to get permission to come visit me.
Also, be aware that many of them are fearful of coming here. They've heard horrible stories of how Muslims and people from the Mid-East are treated here. An Egyptian professor friend of mine has been asked numerous times to speak at US universities but has refused all of the invites since 9/11 despite my assurances that she would be okay.
Have you tried just asking?
better you go to egypt...
Asking should be an idea but i would rather go there.
just make sure they have a passport. Might get a hold of the FBI too, to run a background check first.. I'm not saying this to be racist, or to be profiling. It just ends any headaches that could occur. Hope you have a nice visit with your friend.
