Are US immigration photos the EXACT same as Passport photos?

My wife and I and getting ready to submit our (her) application, but wanted to double check to make sure that we got exactly what is needed. I suspect that immigration photos and passport photos are the same thing, is that correct?

Answer:
Submit two identical, natural color PASSPORT-STYLE photographs of yourself, taken within 30 days of the application. The photos must have a white background, be unmounted, printed on thin paper, and be glossy and unretouched. They must show your full-frontal facial position with your head bare. You may wear a headdress,if required by a religious order of which you are a member.

The photos must be no larger than 2 x 2 inches, with the distance from the top of the head to just below the chin about 1 and 1/4 inches. Using a pencil, lightly print your Alien Registration Number (A#), or your name, if you donot have an A#, on the back of each photo.
Yes..immigration photos and passport photos are the same. Both are 2X2.
