Do you need a passport to go into germany and back because i was told that because were n the eu we dnt need1

Answer:
Yes, you need a passport. The UK and RoI have not signed up to the Schengen Agreement which allows free travel between EU countries. The UK doesn't want to give up its border controls, and the RoI shares a land border with the UK, so it can't join the treaty unless the UK does (otherwise they'd need passport controls at the Northern Ireland border, which would be ridiculous).

Despite what the above poster says, you do not need a passport to travel from the UK to the RoI.
Yes you need a passport to fly outside UK.
Yes you need a passport
who told you that? lol
yes
If you live in the UK - no
If you live in the US - yes

Germany's great. Try the Haufbrauhaus in Muenchen.

Yes, you need a passport because you are going pass the port! Some airlines even ask you for your passport when flying in your own country. Besides, how would they know if you're part of the EU without a passport?
Yes,you do need a passport because you going out of the country and my aunt .lives in germany adn i'm going so I need a passport in case something happens...but you do need ientififcation
No according to the Schengen Agreement you don'y have to, IF you go between countries WITHIN the EU.

BUT police/immigration can demand seeing you're nationality status anytime they want to if they suspect you to be an illegal alien.

So bring it anyway. (I know, strange system)

You need an identity card to get onboard fx an airplane, BUT that is just to establish your IDENTITY NOT your NATIONALITY.
As far as I know, when travelling from EU-to-EU you need either a passport or a national identity card. I'm from the UK and as we don't have ID cards you have to take a passport! The airline might insist on them anyway if you're flying. Foreign Office website should have more info.
Yes, we still have to have a passport. Mainly cos we live on an island. In europe, you can just walk backwards and forwards over the borders.
whe dont need a passport to travel in to the ue countries
you need a passport to Ireland so Germany is a definate yes.
No you dont if you have some other form of official ID like a drivers licence.
Trust me, I have travelled with a drving licence entering the UK before as a test at Stanstead in 2001 from Italy.
.
This has also been tried n tested before in the press when the border restrictions came down a long time ago by a guardian reporter...

If in doubt, contact immgration at the airport/port of entry and departure
