they were long sleeves and a hat (like me) because they work outside in the sun all day and don't want sun burn or skin cancer, if the clothing is loose enough it is not that hot.

riding dirty gangsta style? the probably have never heard of the term. maybe they are cold. the weather in Mexico is substantally warmer than the US. depending on where they are laboring, 80degree weather may be sort of "chilly" for a typical Mexian immigrant who is use to 100+ degree temperature. Just a suggestion. I really dont have the answers.

have you ever worked on the sun???? well thats why they work sweaters and hats in the middle of the summer. working for many hours so constantly makes them propense to uv and sun bruning so thats how they protect against the sun!
