I got an S Pas for Singapore. When can I apply as a Permanent Resident? Can my hubby apply as resident too?

How soon could I let him apply as permanent resident to be with me in Singapore?I just got my S Pas this June 2007.thanks

Answer:
As a S Pass holder, you may apply for PR status through the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in Singapore. Processing time is 3 months. As for your hubby, I presume he's currently not in Singapore, and neither does he has a work permit. In this case, you will need to wait until you get your PR status before you submit an application for him. Note that your hubby, depending on his age, may be liable for National Service (mandatory military service for all male Singaporeans/PRs). More information under "Source".
