Should we just eliminate the concept of citizenship in the US?
It would be like, regardless of everything else, if you were physically in or owned property in US territory you'd effectively be a US citizen. You could vote, get benefits, but you'd also have to pay taxes, etc.
Answer:
i not sure if that would work ... i agree about a legalization for all who had not committed real crimes but as u say it just by being here a thief or someone who needs to be taken out would automatically be an American and that i do not agree with .
some do hide under that excuse that immigrants are uneducated and that just by being poor they automatically are a drain to the system but in reality America was built by people with little education and it is thanks to that people that America today is the most important country in the world , what a contradiction !!! .
America needs order and yes the current system is just a huge mess but just saying deport them all is not the wisest thing to say ... think about it many very important cities in the USA actually dependent of them . they work on them and are a very important part of them . cities like new york , Chicago , Dallas , los Angele's and Miami have a huge immigrant population and would lose a huge part of them with out them ...
most politic do know this facts and that's why they do not do anything about them yet need to start making sure only those with the desire to work do contribute with all their taxes and are able to get them if they suppose to get them , it is the humane thing to do .
sorry my answer is : NO
