If the new immigration reform will passed ,how long will it take to be effective?

how long before Politicians ignore the newest law.
Hopefully we can stop this before we have to deal with that.
Probably wont pass and if it does, unless the feds cut off funding to towns where their police departments, like LAPD, wont check alien status, nothing will change.
In New Jersey, the people who were planning to kill soldiers, a couple of them were arrested and stopped multiple times, and nothing was ever checked to see if they were legal or otherwise.
We have to have support from the troops in the trenches, the Police, all the way to DC. Any weak link and any law they make wont make a difference. The Voters want a difference, they want immigration addressed.
The backers say the provisions for visas and citizenship (amnesty, in other words) won't go into effect until the border is more secure, and who knows how long that will take. The last congress raised a big picture of the fence they were building on the border as a sop to the voters, and how much of it has been built by now? Two miles!
