What is the policy of visas for non-european citizens ? For middle-eastern people ? For turkish people ?
I've never been in USA yet, and I would like to go there soon, for a short period ( as a tourist).
Do you know how I can apply for that ?
And what is the new US policy for that now ? Do they allow many Muslim people to enter the US ?
And does it make a difference for us that I am France resident ?
Could you give me some advice and infos?
Thank you in advance
Answer:
As you know, there are about 12 millions illegal aliens in USA...That's why the US administration is so prudent regarding the visas...
If you were european citizen, they would allow you to enter immediately ( with your biometric passport).
But for turkish citizens, it's different ( many Turks would like to work in US), so you must apply, filling an application, giving many personal datas, having a psychological interview with a employee (actually FBI agent) in the US consulate...
If you are honest ( no criminal record), and if you can prove that you have serious ties with France ( job, home,etc...), they will accept you...Don't worry...
Tourist visas are usually not a big issue. As long as you are not some sort of career criminal you will have no issue getting a tourist visa. When the US looks at your application the fact that lived in France for 32 years does not matter to them. In the US state departments eyes you are a Turkish National. Also you are from Turkey a country that has very good relations with the US so your nationality, race, religion will not be an issue to them unless like I said before you have a criminal record.
Why do you not want a French Passport? The procedure here is the same as everywhere. You go the embassy and apply. If you are footstomping it's a different story.
If you try to come, you will be immediately deported to Guantanamo.
