Why do Immigrants feel they are owed something from America? (Hispanic immigrants)?

Listen Tom, get your facts straight.I am an American citizen, my parents came here legally, and were very grateful to be allowed to come legally.Back then it was much easier, BTW.They worked hard, never got a hand out, and are proud to be part of the American experience.So please don't lump all of us Hispanics in this category.We just want to live in harmony and be allowed to be part of America..ITs statements like that, that get people defensive.Its not just your America.
In Texas they feel we stole there land. Of course they forget about the treaty of Guadalupe where they signed over the Title to us.
Because our government doesnt think twice about helping everyone else out before they deal with issues on our own soil. God forbid we take care of our own people first. Look at the Katrina victims, in my opinion , the rescue and clean up for New Orleans seemed to take longer *and still is in the process of* than it took for Bush to deploy our troops to Iraq. Until we can find someone who actually cares about us and wants to fix our problems first, we will be focusing all of our energy towards the poor and weak that enter our doors. =) Thus why everyone else feels they are owed something by us. Treaties and more treaties. I wonder how lucky you are. Florida belonged to Spain. Louisiana to France. Alaska to Russia. California, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico to Mexico. Iraq, Vietnam and so forth. You are so good that you deserve so much. You all are blessed for your hard work. and goodness. Remember God will judge you and also the country where you were from.
