Let's see your numbers. From everything I've read (and seen) illegals are dropping OUT of high school for the most part. Part of it has to do with not having a firm foundation as children because Mexico's education system is pretty bad and part of it has to do with the resistance to learn English. Another part is that the Mexican culture has a different idea about the importance of education than we do in America.

However, there are legal immigrants who are doing quite well which, historically is the way it goes. Legal immigrants come here, want to obey the laws, learn the language, respect the people and the country and kick butt! It's why we're in favor of legal immigration but not in favor of illegal immigration.
It may explain why you are not a doctor or a lawyer, but perhaps someone else your age who is here legally and whose parents came here legally is on the fast track to becoming a doctor or lawyer. And frankly, I'm all for seeing a doctor who is an immigrant - no problem - if they're good at what they do and can speak English.
Thanks for bringing this up so I could do the research. Your assumptions are wrong, but really help nail the case for legal immigration and against illegal immigration.

Illegals won't take up all the jobs because mostly all major companies have you fill out I-9's which u need a valid ss# and ID. Most young adults go to school because their parents make them, I know a few that make me wonder how they got a degree when they r dumber than a rock. Illegals go to school and stay in school because in their countries they are not given education and those here take that for granted. Also a lot if ilegals feel discourage because they know that they will not be able to do anythiing with their degree so they give up on school.
Only illegals get a free education. The rest of us have to work for it. I am college educated, are you ?
