You have failed to give examples of where he has plagiarized another comedian’s work. Granted Mencia’s repertoire consists of racially laden humor, and since that has been done ad nauseam in the comedic world, it is natural to see many similarities between his stand up routine and those of others like him. That hardly means that he is directly copying other people’s work. Cite an instance where he directly takes the verbiage or skit of another comedian or another comedy show.
i think he is just totally unoriginal. i cant stand watching him, especially when he does his "retard voice", its like some 12yr old trying to be inventive and make his other 12 yr old buddies laugh. Hes aweful.
All comedians steal material, not just Mencia. So that other comedian getting his knickers in a twist was a bit too drama-queenish. It sounded more like he was jealous of Mencia's new-found fame and his Comedy Central gig.
Mencia has done a tremendous amount of original material. This "joke theft" is just a bogus charge by somebody seeking to get his name in the news.

Yes he did copy a few comedians jokes. If you haven't seen Joe Rogan examples heres a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsq1utlbh... . But even Robin Williams has stolen a few jokes back in his stand up days and yet he is still successful. We will see how Mencia turns out
Mencia is obviously a joke theft. And anyone who says it is not that big of a deal bc other comics do it is just crazy. He along with a lot of other comedians are stealing someone else's intellectual property and it is wrong.
