Answer:
Take a look to what Wikipedia has to say about Hungarian immigrants:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/hungarian_a...

I believe one of the most known Hungarian immigrants who have made a great impact on American and worlds economy is Dr. Andrew Stephen Grove. He participated in the founding of Intel Corporation and was a key driving force in its rapid success.

Here are some links about Hungarian immigrants from Immigration Forum. Hope they would help:

Immigrants are the melting pot.
how did immigrants contribute to the melting pot of the US?

well,

they CREATED IT!!

and thank god for that!
what "melting pot"?
by being legal the was able to pay taxes to help build this country.
Hungary is a touhg one. I never new it was actually a country untill now.
Your use of the past tense is more correct than you know. early immigrants attempted to merge [melt] into American society, in doing so they brought their culture and history with them. this integration resulted in a rich diverse concept that is commonly referred to as the melting pot.

In today's times, the majority of immigrants wish to keep separate and maintain the ideals, culture and customs of their originating country. No longer do they wish to integrate, rather, remain separate and aloof. I guess you can now call our country the great American centrifuge.
