Can I book my holiday with 2 months left of my british passport or when do i have to reapply?
Answer:
Get a new passport and to be on the safe side don't book your holiday till you have your new passport in your hand.
Many countries won't let you in unless your passport is good for at least 6 more months.
If you book a holiday and then don't have a valid passport you won't be able to go and you won't be able to claim on your holiday insurance for missing the trip.
You can book it but you have to have 6 months on your passport to travel
no majority of countries require a minimum of 6 months left on your passport, so you will need to reapply
re-apply now is my advice
Nope. Minimum time required for most countries is 6 months. You can fast track your application at participating Post Offices for a slightly enhanced fee.
Play safe and have your passport renewed then you will be covered wherever you travel to and no worries.
You can book it but! you need a minimum of 6 months on your passport. Renew it now, then its sorted.
Reapply NOW!!!! I would ask an official. Maybe you can get an official stamp in your passsport indicating a new one has been requested.
Now. Don't wait for it to expire.
DO IT NOW BEFORE THE BIOMETRIC ONES COME IN
Some EU Countries will let EU citizens in on a recently expired, or soon to be expired passport. Britain for example. you could apply for a short term emergency passport I think.
if your off to afghanistan then no, just get a burka and your sorted. getting out is no problem and nowadays you obviously dont need one to get back in.
