Answer:
well an american can live in Mexico for 6 mos on a tourist visa alone. After that you must apply for residency. Money is a big part of qualifying for residency. The cost can vary... depending on where you plan to live, there are areas in big cities that are filled with retired Americans, but if you wanted to go to a less touristy area, you would pay much less. My suggestion would be to contact either the Mexican consulate here in the US or the American embassy in Mexico. THey can give you the most accurate information.
White people live in Mexico?
100,000 dollors a hour or is that paso No one is going there to work they are going here but that would be nice if we were to do this let try it... Ps if it work let me know I will follow you!!!
Well I know that Guadalajara has the highest American population outside the U.S. And it's very costly to live in Mexico if you are American. I heard that if you want to live and work in Mexico, you have to open a business (costing about $50,000) and you can only hire Mexicans.
Well, for one thing, an American that wants to live in Mexico has to learn Spanish. No accommodations are made for them if they refuse to learn it. But that is not considered "racist".

Unlike the Spanish speaking that comes to the US and refuses to learn English. We must accommodate them by having things in their language, and many citizens are denied jobs because they cannot speak Spanish to accommodate them. Because saying they should learn English is considered "racist", even though just about all other groups manage to learn.
In My experience ,ost Am,ericans who live in Mexico are retired; working in Mexico as an Ameican is complex; however, it can be done.

North Americans who live in Mexico generally live in Gated communities, there are many of them and some are as small as a little city with Gold courses; check out the "El Dorada Estates" online and take a peek; living in Mexico is Cheap, I'd guess that your one million estimate is conservative. American dollars go along way in Mexico If you are wise enough to learn to pay only what Locals pay, yes, they know your "rich" by their standards and will take advantage on occasion, if you let them.
In Such communities above Americans (and Europeans) shop around like everyone else, they use "Mercado's" (markets) like locals and shop around and buy groceries like everyone else; internet use is possible' however, I'm not about cost but I'd guess it is cheaper there than here; TV AND GAS-ELECTRIC is dirt cheap as you pay what Locals pay, about $10 a month of Gas-electric, and also, In gated communities the water is purified and safe to swim in and drink; I would try the East coast-Yucatan area as it is soooooo boss. The water is clear and warm and the beaches are white sandy; enjoy!
Many retired Americans live around Lake Chapala in Guadalahara . It's very beautiful and their retirement dollars go much further. There are approximately 7000 Americans living there year round in very nice luxury town homes. Real estate agents there and in the USA can give you more info. You can also go online and read more about these communities of Americans.
The shame of it is, many Americans couldn't afford to live in Mexico. Houses around Lake Chapala will run $250,000 or so and the mortgage companies aren't as liberal as they are here. You had better have half down.

It seems our leaders have been spending us into the third world.
