Why, when all the facts point out that undocumented imagrants are actually a net gain for the economy, do they keep claiming they cost taxpayers money ?
Is it becuse the facts don't support their hate, fear and racism, so they have to spew lies to try to make their point ?
Is it that their parents were racist pigs who abused them and exposed tehm to hate and ignorance during ther childhoods ?
Or is it because they were raied in white trash tariler parks, and the fumes from the open sewers effected their brain function ?

Um probably not that bad, but I think you are on the right track. My uncle(Rep.) doesn't particularly like non white people, but won't come out and say it because it is not PC, like so many baby boomers whom I have now come to know better as an adult. As a bi-racial kid, was totally oblivious to racism until I was in my 20's. I think it is more of ethnocentric thinking that is scaring older Repulicans more than anything else. They want to go back to some kind of Norman Rockwell era that never really existed anyway.

The data shows criminal immigration is a MASSIVE net loss. The pro-crime crowd will try to lie about it.. but even they don't expect anybody to believe their lies.

Whew! Most of the time, I'm on here asking Republicans to tone down the diatribe against Democrats. But it goes both ways. Sure, sometimes I get angry. But calling people names and flinging insults doesn't get us anywhere. If you really want to know why people oppose the immigration bill, ask. I'm sure you'll get at least a few thoughtful answers. Who knows, may even give you something to think about.

First of all, don't place the label of "Ignorant" just on republicans. Ignorance pervades every political stripe in this country!
Now for the illegal immigrant bill. When you have ANY law that prohibits an action such as immigrating without going through the proper channels, that law MUST NOT be waived. The bill that WAS being debated would have give legitimacy to the 12 million people who broke the law and entered the U.S. without obtaining permission to do so. That is in fact a form of amnesty.
The fact that they are here and able to remain here earning a livig DOES highlight the underlying problem. Employers! There are laws with harsh penalties already on the books for anyone who employs illegal immigrants. The problem is that these employers are NOT investigated or prosecuted in an effective manner.
Presecute the employers and the job market for illegal immigrants will dry up. Once that happens, illegal immigration will decrease though it will never go away completely.
I suggest this year you ask Santa for a dictionary. Not to be used just for spelling.

This changed my tune and I will definitely vote based on immigration and no amnesty. Cost is too high.
