California to reach 60 million by 2050...?
In California, Latinos will eclipse all other ethnic groups combined by 2050 --- should the state be investing more in this group that shall soon dominate the state? (i.e., education, social programs, etc)
This is obviously the result of the recent immigration trends. I think it's great, as long as the state adjusts accordingly.
Answer:
I hope that when(minority [ s ] ) are the majority that we will treat all people regardless of race or religion as equals. It will be the time for rebuilding American in the idealism on which she was founded ,of a government by the people and for all of the people,I will not be here to see it ,but my children, and their children will be.
I doubt it
I read this too, looks like I will be a minority by 2042 or around there.
I believe it.
I know I will be long dead a buried by then. If we survive has a human race in 43 years,I am sure there will be many changes that we can only imagine right now.
Since they are immigrating, the state shouldn't have to adjust; the immigrants should assimilate and integrate. If they do not want to do that--if they simply want to make California a new wherever-they-came-from--why did they immigrate? The hope is for a better life. Obviously, they believe that is available in the United States and California. Hence, what makes them believe the good life will remain if they try to replace it with the old?
One must apply logic here.
Because of uncontrolled population growth, California's water supply is predicted to run out before 2025. I think population growth is going to be a real problem.
California's economy is going to go in the toliet. That will leave the U.S. with larger budget deficits since California is a huge source of revenue for the Federal government.
We will soon be forced to contain our growth just like China!
Just how full do you want that bathtub to be
