There were blacks and hispanics at the anti-immigration bill rally in Washington DC yesterday. They know the score, and they know when The Man is selling them out in favor of cheap labor from other countries. There was also a part-Native American there, too - me.

It's going to take a strong Mexican economy to stop illegal immigration. There's a reason Canadians aren't being smuggled across the Montana border. What the average citizen doesn't realize is that big business (the true power in the US) doesn't want illegal immigration to stop. Illegal workers fill jobs that most American citizens feel are beneath them. It's a horrible thing really, but the ultra-wealthy view Mexico and its citizens as a cheap labor resource rather than our neighbor.
Unfortunately, the US will never try to help to boost the Mexican economy. Big business and the presidential administration will just keep lying to honest, hardworking American citizens in order to get their support and pacify them.
The question should have been phrased all legal Americans. However, I know what you meant. It will take all Americans coming together if wants to be stopped. I heard Ted Hayes say is that he is worried about illegal immigration because it will take away from the black folks. It has to be all legal americans coming together on the same agenda.
All I know is that it's not racist to want illegals gone. Saying so is a waste of breath.
