Does Dianne Feinstein listen to the views of her constituents ?

I have written to her on numerous occasions stating emphatically that I oppose any form of amnesty.
She always responds with"
"Thank you for writing to me about legalizing the immigration status of illegal aliens in the United States"

It would seem that this political elite has already made her mind up and doesn't care what the people think. Agree?

Answer:
Yes, I agree! She is my state's US senator also, more's the pity, and she never responds to my letters with anything but a form letter. And the form letter never really addresses my concerns.

In fact, one time I wrote her about the funding for homeland security and I was answered with a form letter thanking me for my contribution to her reelection comittee. BTW, a contribution I did not make!

Cripes!
The old saying is very true, " in one ear, out the other " All they know is, votes votes votes
Agreed!
Unfortunately a lot more of her constitutes are illegal immigrants than legal citizens.
If someone doesn't respect the law enough to immigrate legally what makes you think they would bother to obey election law or protocol?
The job of voters registration drives is to collect voters registration information from people. No ID checks, no proof of citizenship, no investigation, just an address to mail the card to. *POOF *Show up with the card and vote!

We live in strange times my friend.
She does not have a long American history. She is out to destroy what America has been.
In all honesty...no. I don't think many are listening to the people. I get responses such as I feel. I didn't vote people in for THEIR personnal views, I voted because I though they voted for me!
I think she doesn't like the whole bill, but yes, has made up her mind that the AgJobs she wants that they added to get her support, is worth all the rest. She even voted to keep the guest worker program to keep the 'deal' together, and I am pretty sure she is against that.

She needs LOTS of contact from her constituents.
She listens to a high power, the lobbyist that fill her campaign coffers with reelection money
I would say no.
I have written her, more than once, and received a form letters in response explaining her positions. They were contrary to the position that I had stated in my letters. But, I don't think it would have mattered if I had agreed with her, I just wouldn't have written.
I don't think she is alone though. I don't think any senator listens. I sent a letter to Sen. Hiyakawa (D) Cal. in the 70's.
I was in the Air Force and wrote to increase military pay.
He wrote back with a form letter about the Orange County Air Port. I guess he didn't have a form letter on my issue, so the clerk saw "Air Force" and figured "Orange County Air Port" was the closest match.
I'm losing (not yet lost, though) my faith in democracy. As long as there are two parties that don't listen to the people, that just try to play our fears against each other, while constantly attempting to placate their big contributors, things will continue to get worse.
