If you have to be a legal alien to buy a gun in USA, why can any non citizen be able to buy ammunition,?

Dude, the laws are wacked. A NON-Citizen should NEVER be allowed to buy a gun, explosives or ammo.
It's not our fault the dumbass lawmakers decided to treat Legal aliens the same without making any distinction. Check the statistics, almost ALL the Immigrants don't become citizens since they're allowed to live here forever and get the same freedoms.

It also depends on the state you live in. Some states are just as restrictive on ammunition purchases as they are on guns. Mine being one; Massachusetts. In which you can not buy a gun or ammunition. Unless you have a gun license or permit. Massachusetts is one of the more restrictive in all areas of gun or ammunition purchases. Now the state you live in must be different. I agree, it is stupid to allow people to purchase ammunition if they can not buy a gun. I also believe no illegal alien should be able to do either. This is a lapse in judgement at the state level of your legislative branch of government. You should e-mail your state representative to ask why they do not do something about it. Furthermore, e-mail Wal-mart and ask where the Corporate responsibility is. How they can justify such a policy. Not to mention why someone would need ammunition without a gun. Legal or illegal! As far as the material to build a bomb/explosives. There is not much one can do about that. Do to the fact, there are way to many legal over the counter product that can be used to make a bomb/explosives. Which are sold in a lot more stores then just Wal-mart. A better question would be why cant the various industries create a product which one can not manipulate to make explosive/bomb. Or is this even possible. Where there is a will, there will always be a way! For instance one can use their dogs fecal matter to create an explosive mixture. Its not the dogs fault. Neither is it Wa-lmarts fault if you have a few deviant people who manipulate their legal product. For illegal means. Its the individuals fault who created the explosives/bomb in the first place. These are some of the things one will always face in a free society. It is just a same there are people. Who will misuse those freedoms to hurt other people.

Because ammunition is useless if you don't have a gun. And I'm not sure, but you can probably make bombs out of dual use things, so it'd be hard to ban them.
A non-citizen can buy ammo because it's too expensive to do a background check every time you sell a box of .22 long rifle ammo.
Yes, you can make bombs out of stuff you can buy. That's why it's better to keep illegal immigrants out of the country in the first place.
