Why has the Democratic Congress turned blame on immigration reform to the President?
If anyone knows of resource sites that clearly state the party positions on immigration reform, please enlighten me...I would like to know what the differences are in the two major parties approach to the non-secure border problem and the treatment of the criminals that are here and the treatment of the employers of those criminals and the complete failing of our homeland security to enforce immigration law.

What are you talking about "failed bill". Its coming back this week, stronger then ever.
Because the bleeding heart liberals feel sorry for people who are here in the country illegally, and President Bush wants them to come here legally instead of illegally. He wants them to go back to where they came form, get their papaers, and be processed here legally like the rest of our grandparents did. Because he is against the whole, "they're already here, we might as well let them stay" attitude. President Bush and some of us Republicans feel that being here illegally and then being allowed to stay is like cheating or cutting in line. There are so many people still waiting to arrive legally, and the illegals are using up all of the resources to process the legals. It's not fair for the line cutters to get a break and leave those waiting for their legal papers in the lurch. So he is standing firm against the bleeding heart liberal Democrats, and they don't like it.
The President has to come up with the Proposal and Congress all has to approve. If the Majority doesn't then they have to rewrite it. Just like with work, you come up with a proposal if it's no good you write up another one. Same thing, just President Bush needs to make sense of what he is proposing and thing of it in long terms.
