Applying for united states waiver?

is it true a waiver is like getting special permission to enter the united states when you have a criminal record. Are there any specific offences where ou can be denied I have 3 children by an american citizen and i need to be able to cross the border.i also have family in the united states im afraid my record may get me denied.

Answer:
According to the law, there are two areas that will cause you a great deal of trouble when it comes to immigration and entering the country legally:
1. Drug related offenses.
2. Crimes of "moral" turpitude.

You can get a good definition of moral turpitude, as it applies to immigration, here..

Hello?

We don't need to have you here. You have a record?
Forgive me for pointing out that we have plenty of our own criminals here. I think your record would be a good indicator of what to expect from you. It will probably get you denied.
