What do you think of illegal immigrant from Mexico working for Border Patrol and was smuggling in people?
Eric Balderas, 28, pleaded guilty in December 2005 to conspiracy to bring in illegal aliens and he was sentenced Thursday.
His plea agreement indicated that he admitted smuggling at least 100 people, said prosecutor Alana Wong. Authorities allege that the crimes occurred in the spring of 2005.
Balderas worked with fellow agent Oscar Antonio Ortiz, who was sentenced last year to five years in prison.
Ortiz, himself an illegal immigrant from Mexico, admitted that he and Balderas took money to transport illegal migrants north from the U.S.-Mexico border, sometimes in their Border Patrol vehicles. The agents worked near Tecate, a remote area east of San Diego. Wiretaps indicate they were paid $300 (€220) a person for looking the other way when migrants crossed the border. If the agents drove the immigrants, they got $1,800 to $2,000U.S. District Judge John Houston ordered that Balderas be immediately placed in custody. He had been free on bond.
Balderas' attorney, Marcus DeBose, did not immediately respond to a phone message.

Sergio D is right, he's a very smart individual.
everyone has a price...
Can you say "fox guarding the hen house?"
An illegal immigrant can't even get a job as a Border Patrol Agent by law! What's wrong with the hiring procedures.
Money talks and Bullshit walks my friend. Everyone has their price. What's yours.
It suggest to me that the US government.is doing a lousy job in screening its employees , In Sept. 2005 Dept. of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service reported there were over 2,500 cases of their employee facing misconduct charges involving exchanging immigration benefits for sex, bribery and influences by foreign governments to assist in violation of US border security and another 50 cases are added weekly.
I know the USA is not corruptible! right!
This is just the tip of the iceberg, I would bet that if you did checks on a lot of the agents, more would be living way beyond their means.
this eric balderas needs to be thrown in the darkest most secluded prison and left there to rot like the waste of human life he is
I think he should have gotten more than two years for that crime!
I think he should be shot in both legs, and left in the desert for the buzzards!!
