What Do We Think Of The No Fly List For US And Canada Has In Effect?

Under new federal rules, airline staff will cross-check passengers with names of suspected terrorists. The US no-fly list has 44000 names.
Should we be worried, if we are on this list we will never know until we go to board the plane.
In a way good but all these what ifs....

Is this "No Fly List" going to cause some headaches for people who happen to have the same name as someone of interest on the list, absolutely! But, what would be the alternative, to leave the suspected terrorist's name off the list? I think most people will tolerate a little inconvenience to keep some lunatic radical from killing innocent people. Make sure you get to the airport in plenty of time ahead of your flight to clear all the security checks and unless you are pulled out and detained write it off as an unfortunate by-product of trying to improve national security.
As for the person concerned that Ted Kennedy was on the list, I'm sure that a lot of Republicans would insist that it wasn't a mistake, he is a threat to national security..just kidding!

THe funniest story was when Senator Ted Kennedy found his name on the list & was stopped at the airport.
Fortunately he had a contact in HLS (Tom RIdge) and got the problem resolved.
But if members of our own government are on the list, is there ANY point to it ?
The lists makes no sense. Terrorist are obviously not going to use their real names. If they did then yes it would be very good to keep a list of names but we all know that these people want to kill us and not take any chances.
