Groups like Mecha and other seperataist groups. People have a right to join groups and create them but they do not have the right to be officially recognized as a university student organization. Do you think if UCSD started a chapter of the Black Panthers or Aryan Brotherhood they would allow it?

I don't think it is so much a sanction. It is more a lack of supervision.

Mecha isn't what you think it is. I knew some of those kids in school- it wasn't about holding anyone down. It was about pulling eachother up. Why are you worried about it?

They are afraid not to, Political correctness keeps them safe. Right now there is an air in this country especially in universities to be very liberal or other wise be an outcast.
