Why is it only bums who try to migrate to the US?

Besides people move to the US to be bums. They want our freedom, our security, our education and our power.

Since it's about $10,000 to become a citizen they can't afford it and they try to sneak across for a better life.
I don't know about if they are "bums" but they must not be highly educated people or they would be doing it the right way instead of breaking the law.
They are saying "sxxxx you" to the American taxpayer. They just want someone else taking care of them.
I don't care if they are coming here for a "better life." They shouldn't break the law, demand rights they don't have, sponge off the taxpayer, etc... I have no sympathy for them.

It's a peculiar thing. Why do all, or most, of these so-called bums seem to want and find jobs when they get here? If you lived in dire poverty and there was a place within a short distance that you could get to and then not starve, then have warm shelter, then have a chance to be educated, etc., and you did not go---how intelligent would that make you?

most intelligent people may not have to immigrate because they have jobs and education to support themselves and not have to live in conditions where the typical illegal descirbes as "moving for a better life"
