Many American companies outsource to India because people there will work for wages that would leave an American homeless and starving. American companies charge ridiculous prices for their products and services but, because they are run by evil, greedy people, they pass as little of that money as possible on to the workers who actually make the product, perform the service and keep the company in business. Well, people in India are willing to work for what the Americans pay. People in America can't afford to work for such low wages because we have to pay American prices.
What makes you think that.
Foreign to you maybe, but the internet is the "world wide web". To create such a thing, you need people and equipment around the globe.

You are so right Bob!!What ever happened to our Unions here in America.Dumbfu*k politicians are spreading the gap between poor and rich...Give it a couple more decades and we will be another Mexico or Philippines.No middle class just rich and poor!!We are on the road to self destruction...Thanks to companies like Wall Mart,Microsoft,Boeing,and Major auto companies,etc we are on our way too poverty!
Because Indian people are famous for their computer technology ability. If you ever talk to any Indian, you will be surprised how high they value education. Bachelor degree is almost nothing for them. Master degrees are common for most Indian people. And don't forget that they work hard and very loyal to their employer. Oh, and I'm not Indian.
OUT-SOURCING IS WHAT IT IS. IT'S NOT ONLY YAHOO, AOL, CREDIT CARD COMPANIES AND WHO KNOWS WHO ELSE. ALL BECAUSE THEY CAN PAY THEN A DOLLAR PER HOUR TO CALL YOU DURING THE DAY WHICH IS NIGHT TIME FOR THEM.
Because they are very smart, well educated, and polite in their demeanor. They are also cheap labor.
My son was a computer engineer for Compac in Houston. He was making approximately $120 k a year. He was laid off two years ago, because Compac outsourced his job and a couple of thousand others to India. He is now a general contractor in Dallas.
