Immigration reform: is this not just a deceptive means to bust America's trade unions?
Your thoughts?
Answer:
Wake up people its a ploy not only to drag union workers wages down but every middle class workers wages down why do you think wage inflation has been so low for the last 20 years. Companies use it the same way they used union wages for years but in the opposite way. A lot of companies used to pay there employees slightly higher than union wages so the employees wouldn't vote a union in. Now they lower the wages of there employees knowing that if they don't like it they can quit and they will hire cheap illegals.
This isn't a fight between dems and repubs its a fight between the greedy and the middle class.
What's to stop the newly legal invaders from joining the unions? Sounds more like a democrat dream to me.
Tens of millions below the povertry line is a Democrat dream, not a Republican one. They love to exploit the poor while pretending to champion them.
But to the point: the unions are probably itching to sign up all the now illegals as union members. To keep a fresh supply of cheap labor, we'll therefore have to import new illegals.
All amnesty is going to do other than give illegals the keys to the welfare kingdom and to bring their families over to enjoy the same, is to bring more illegals for cheap labor for the next amnesty. Kennedy was in charge of the amnesty in 1968, 1986, and the this one in 2007. Our only hope is that he leaves office before he can sell us out again in the year 2027 with another amnesty.
The true danger is that Democrats in the Senate voted against a measure to prohibit employers from firing Americans to hire 'legalized illegals' at lower wages.
Republicans voted for that amendment to the bill.
Very possible. I can't believe that they are shoving this bill down our throats because they have such big hearts. It sticks, and anything Bush pushes can't be good for Americans.
