You first have to be arrested and charged and found guilty of certain crimes (felonies) in order to even be considered deportable. Belive me, its not as easy as it sounds to deport people, I wish it was, but its not.
Getting stopped by the police who check your "green card" will NOT get you deported!
You could loose your legal resident status (green card) if you are convicted of a crime, not simply because a policeman stopped you.
If you are legal (didn't stay longer than you are supposed to) and did nothing wrong, no, you should have no problem at all.
I think there are a bunch of people trying to make enforcement against illegal immigrants look like it is a problem for all immigrants, but the opposite is true. We could treat our legal immigrants more generously if so many didn't come illegally.
Dont know but I but if you're legal, I feel that you are welcome to stay. It's the illegal thing that gets me.
A routine traffic stop (speeding, moving violation) wouldn't get you into trouble, however, being convicted of DWI or vehicular homicide certainly will.
Nobody is looking to punish a legal immigrant for something minor.

What do you mean "if you're (illegal alien) not doing nothing wrong, good record, never a ticket" LOL You are in the wrong just being an illegal.

No. For a legal permanent resident to be deported, they have to either commit a felony or have committed fraud on their application for residency.
Now, ILLEGAL ALIENS can and should be turned over to ICE whenever and where ever they are encountered!
