Seat Belt, or Immigration Laws?

Local jursistdictions vs Feds.
Seatbelts are visible as are cell phones in daylight.
Expect those laws to be enforced mainly because cops aren't yet blind.
As for Immigration laws...I'd like to say there is nobody to enforce them but the truth is, they WON'T enforce that law. Men are in jail for enforcing it. Check it out!

the question seems simple enough but really it is loaded. first of all i don't think there should be laws for adults regarding seat belts, for children absolutely we need laws to make sure they are safe, but adults should have the right to decide how important their life is. immigrations laws are all messed up. we need to revamp the system before we can really enforce the laws.

I think it's more important to enforce immigration laws. I think seat belt laws are for a matter of personal safety. It should be up to the person driving if they'd like to protect themselves or not. Immigration laws, on the other hand, are a matter of national security and has a much greater effect on citizens in the country than a person not wearing a seat belt (who would only really be hurting themselves (and not the whole nation, like illegal immigration) if they were in an accident).
Immigration. Problem is here they try and blend the two. We have a huge illegal population who also drive without licenses and don't use their seat belts or abide by any other laws.so even with a "seat-belt" check, that is posted in the paper...they cry "racism" and accuse police of "targeting" illegals when we try and inforce ANY law. If you don't abide by any law..it's not "targeting" that's the problem. It's the amount who think they don't HAVE to abide by ANY law.
Immigration. If some one breaks the seat belt law, the negative effect from that is the idiot who broke it might die. It wouldn't hurt anyone else.
IMMIGRATION! Not wearing a seat belt is a minor thing and you are the only one that can be hurt if you are in an accident. The ILLEGAL alien criminals, that are here breaking our laws, are hurting EVERYONE! They are destroying our country!
Jail the employers of the illegals. Dry up the job market and they will HAVE to go home! NO AMNESTY!!!

Why? Only congress knows and they are not saying...only saying that it is impossible to do anything about it except make more laws which everyone knows wont be enforced!
i agree.. i was in a wreck a few years ago where i would have been killed if i would of had a seatbelt on. So i didn't wear one for years, but now i have to because they have a law with no loopholes. As a society, we worry more about the small things than the larger picture. All we hear about is seatbelts save lives, but what about the people who are killed by illegals?? what about the people who are injured by illegals?? we could stop these people from getting hurt as well if we just enforced the laws
