ID expired, Need Valid ID for a test soon?

His passport, resident card are expired. He filed for citizenship and has an appointment on july 25th BUT he has a GED test on july 11th and needs two pieces of VALID ID. Now he has his SS card but he needs a picture ID how should he go about getting this before july 11th? In order to get a new york state ID he needs other valid identification =/ and they are expire and he needs picture ID fast. Anyone have any idea what to do?

Answer:
Have him contact his Embassy or Consulate ASAP, they should be able to issue him a document to stand in for his passport. Contact your local DMV for a state ID, if he has a social security card, that should not a problem.
Have him leave the county. If he is too stupid to renew his passport and resident card on-time he will never pass the GED test anyway...let alone the citizenship exam.
Have him make an appointment with the DMV. You can find your local office by using the link I've provided you with. Go in, get the picture taken, and ask the person who's doing the paperwork (when taking the picture) if you can have a photocopy of it - notarized by the DMV as an official temporary ID. Normally the processing times for an ID is a few weeks. So if you make an appointment asap, I'm sure you'll have no problem. But like I said, make sure you have some sort of paper notarized ID as a temporary ID.
