What counties you dont need a passport to enter?

i thought we are free or does somone own the world we live in.

Answer:
EU citizens are not required to have a passport when traveling from one EU country to another.
Mexico and Canada
The United States. Just look at how many Mexicans just walk accross the border and leech off our system! They don't have passports OR a green card.
Yes someone does own the world we live in! The only way to be even close to free is to be rich, and even then you are a slave to your source of income.

If you are an american citizen you can go to canada with you birthcertificate and photo I.D. instead of a passport.
Many countries will let in US citizens without a passport, however the US requires US citizens to have a passport to get back in. The exceptions are Mexico and Canada for sea and land routes. As of January 2007 all those proceeding to the US by air now require passports, including Americans. As of 2008 the passport rule will apply to those entering the US by land and sea as well.

There are 2 exceptions. There is a "border crossing card" for pre-screened Mexican citizens and the "Nexus" travel initiative for Canadians / Americans which is valid for 5 years. All applications for the Nexus card have to be approved by both US and Canadian authorities.
Now at present days, you need a passport to enter Canada from the US border. I don't know about Mexico. As for other countries, they all require you to have a passport before they let you in. And no, there isn't such thing as free world. China is still a communist country as same as Viet Nam and North Korea.
Countries that participate in Visa Waiver Pilot Program. I don't know all of the countries but am sure they could be found online.
If you live in a country within the European Union, you do not need a passport to travel between them. However, if you are a US citizen you will now need a passport to travel outside of the country no matter where you go by air. This went into effect jan 23,2007. This includes babies as well

That being said, you can still travel between Canada and Mexico with a drivers license and/or birth certificate if you are going by land or sea. The change will not impact that mode of travel until Jan 1, 2008
Guantanamo Bay?
I think everywere is an Identification I don't think anybody that doesn't have any document to identificate themself should be able to enter another country I hope ...We are free yes but are measures that need to be taking think about if we can just walk in in a coutry...How many more bad things will happend
you have to make up your mind. do you support terrorism?? do you support illegal immigration?? well, if you DON'T...then a passport is neccessary!!! i know you didn't say anything about this, but people complain constantly about these issues, and then the same people want "freedom." well, it's a flipping paper booklet. just get it and shut up!!! if everyone has one, it makes EVERYONE safer. plain and simple. you can't have your cake and eat it too.

the persons who own the world we are living in is US!!! and i mean "us" not the US. and WE the citizens, WANT identification!!! it's essential!!!

oh yes...and we don't need any ID to enter "counties" but i assume you meant "countries"
you will need one to get back home - see below:

New Requirements for Travelers

Under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI)

The proposed implementation timeline has two phases:

* Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable.
* As early as January 1, 2008, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. While recent legislative changes permit a later deadline, the Departments of State and Homeland Security are working to meet all requirements as soon as possible. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain passports or passport cards for land/sea entries.

The passport requirement does NOT apply to U.S. citizens traveling to or returning directly from a U.S. territory. U.S. citizens returning directly from a U.S. territory are not considered to have left the United States and do not need to present a passport. U.S. territories include the following: Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Swains Island, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Travel Documents for U.S. Citizens Under WHTI

Under the proposed implementation plan, the following documents will be acceptable to fulfill document requirements:

* U.S. Passport: U.S. citizens may present a valid U.S. passport when traveling via air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda, and may also use a U.S. passport when traveling via sea and land borders (including ferry crossings).
* The Passport Card (also referred to as the PASS Card): This limited-use passport in card format is currently under development and will be available for use for travel only via land or sea (including ferries) between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. Similar in size to a credit card, it will fit easily into a wallet.
* DOS and DHS also anticipate that the following documents will continue to be acceptable for their current travel uses under WHTI: SENTRI, NEXUS, FAST, and the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document. As proposed, members of the U.S. Armed Forces on active duty traveling on orders will continue to be exempt from the passport requirement.

Background

The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires the Department of Homeland Security and Department of State to develop and implement a plan to require all travelers, U.S. citizens and foreign nationals alike, to present a passport or other document, or a combination of documents, that denote identity and citizenship when entering the United States. Congress amended portions of the Act in 2006. The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative is the Administration’s proposed plan to implement this mandate.

The goal of the Initiative is to strengthen border security and facilitate entry into the United States for U.S. citizens and legitimate foreign visitors by providing standardized, secure and reliable documentation which will allow the Department of Homeland Security to quickly, reliably and accurately identify a traveler.
