Social security benifits for my child?

iam 60yrs old and just had a baby girl 2 yrs ago and my time is short being sick and all, will my wife and new child both get benifits are just the girl, and if so how much??

Answer:
Believe it or not, you need to contact the Social Security Administration, www.ssa.gov or in your phone book. Are you receiving disability benefits? Normally a person must be 62 or older to receive social security. Your wife would receive benefits until your baby girl reaches 18 years of age and your baby girl would receive benefits on your record. After that, whether your wife would receive benefits depends upon her record, her age, etc.
It is very complicated: no simple rules. Also, unfortunately, they will tell one person one thing and another person another thing.
Example: my son was a Down's Syndrome, and received nothing from SSA. Other people, even though they were rich, received money from Social Security for their child in similar condition.
That's why I say you MUST contact Social Security.
Are you and your child legal immigrants??

I would say contact the social security office.

What country are you in, the USA??

Not enough info.
First of all if you can't take care of your children don't have them. I am not trying to sound heartless but why should everyone else pay for your children? GET A CLUE!
what does this have to do with immigration?
