Plz help. TB test for green card?
Answer:
If you show a "positive" on the skin test they will make you go get a X-ray to make sure that the TB is dormant. (most of the time it is) Then they will possibly give you some anti-biotic pills and some B vitamins to take for about 9 months. Don't worry unless the TB X-ray shows that it's not in a dormant state.
Yes it will be considered bad, however, if you're following a treatment plan all will be fine. Don't worry.
I believe so. I know a lot of Philipinos who test positive on the skin test, because they took some vaccine that would cause them to test positive for TB. They are here now. The skin test is just a screen and is not considered difenitive. the X-ray would probably sufficient to tell them if you don't have TB.
AS long as your lungs are clear you do not have TB. The raised circle on your arm only shows that you have had exposure to it. Whatever you do, NEVER take another TB test on the skin, it can cause you to get the disease. Just inform any future doctors that you had a reaction and if you begin to show symptoms in the future you will be blood tested and x rayed.
