It's called single family dwelling you can call the county or city code enforcement or ice or ask them what 2 do. There not wonderful or citizens there criminal illegal aliens that are breaking federal laws, let your voice be heard.

If you're refering to housing codes...yes things are calculated by space etc. A family is usually considered Parents and children but even that depends on the size of the dwelling. Not 12 kids in a one bedroom. I know it used to be if you had a boy and a girl...there had to be seperate rooms for each. I know back in the old days many extended families lived in a farm house and all..just not designed that way today in apartments and small houses.. Again there are laws on the books concerning this..they just aren't enforcing them.
I would start with the health department, then the City Council, then the County Commissioner.
There are circumstances where one might have a family live with them for a short period of time (their house burned down), a death in the family.etc.
