Not really. Look at that show Friends. They had may be single black person on 10 year run of the show or whatever. So what if some people do TV promo on diversity, PC or whatever? It doesn't hurt. There's only 100000 other channels to watch. Don't want to see white people turn to BET, don't want to see black people? Turn to NASCAR, Hockey channels.
yes...especially when there are other shows with more blacks, Asians, etc...but a show with mostly whites is wrong...even though the population of America is 75% white...

It's not the ethnic choices of tv characters that disturb me, it's the prevalence of tv to shove controversial issues down our throats with political correctness. It is a choice people make whether to accept or reject differences in life choices. It is not the task of entertainment tv to attempt to herd people into accepting other's choices on a variety of issues.
When I want sheer entertainment, I don't want a lesson in PC along with it.

You know, it's annoying when people try to show diversity on television or in movies because it's such a transparent manipulation. It still needs to be done. People need role models that will eliminate racism.
Besides, this is nothing new. Watch any war movie from the 1940s or 1950s about American troops and there will always be a guy from Brooklyn, a corn-fed farm boy from the midwest, a guy from the South and [name any other stereotype].

I am a caucasian and when I am working and living in different countries I squirm with embarrassment when creatures like you appear, with your self-assured, ignorant, racist, insular and pathetic demeanour.
My embarrassment is short lived and turns to euphoria when the local asians, blacks etc... beat the living daylights out of this creature for their arrogant insensitivity.
