Legal immigrants have been given the proverbial middle finger by our government. Not to rain on your parade, but I would venture to guess the authorities are too busy pandering to the millions of illegals to be troubled with your case.
Before 9-11 this was an easy thing to do.
They can cross the border legally with a passport issued by Mexico. (this is how my husband crossed legally)..Once over here yes they can get married BUT it can't be a marriage just for citizenship. Thats not as easy as everyone thinks. You have to be married for LOVE. You go through so many interviews just to make sure the marriage is on good faith. Marriage is an easier way to get it yes. But an immigrant can also join the military and obtain citizenship this way. The Marines are begging for my husband right now. But more than likely you will have to get an immigration attorney. We did. It just makes it easier because they know all the rules etc. But you can get them here legally just with passport.
Probably the quickest and easiest way would be to contact a lawyer.
Look in the Yellow Pages for a lawyer or paralegal that specializes in imigration law. Since you want her to care for your children as a nanny, I believe you can sponsor her. I'm sure it won't be cheap. It takes a while (months to a couple years) so check with your immigration attorney.
