How long did it take for USCIS to cash your check? I'm worried?

I recently sent out an I-129F package for my fiancé who is Canadian (I'm American). I sent it out on May 10th to the Nebraska service center. I requested signature confirmation just so I would have peace of mind. The I-129f was signed for on May 15th. I sent a personal check from my bank account. The money still has not been taken from my account, 15 days later. So, from anyone else's experience, is this normal, or should I be concerned? Thank you!

Answer:
It takes a while.. it used to take 2-3 weeks, I understand it takes longer now.

They only cash the check when they are done going through all the papers -veeeery slowly- and find everything correct.

They are busy and ... slow. They like to take their time so people can suffer...:-)

If there's something wrong with the papers, they'll send them ALL back, check included.

P.S: you should also get a receipt when they cash the check.
.
dont know. sorry
at least two weeks if not busy, longer if they are.
You are supposed to send money orders. They usually don't take that long to reject a filing. The filing fees are going up on July 30th, so make sure you refile it before then, if you have to.
