Answer:
Yes, I believe they are. La Raza is a separatist movement that looks to reclaim land it claims was stolen from Mexico many years ago. Gutierrez is in the mold of Hugo Chavez, a leftist ideologue who needs to be watched very closely.
yes, it is but they can do it and get away with it!! La raza means "THE RACE" in spanish!!
Of course. Even their name says it - "The race" That's all they care about.
se
La Raza means "the race". What do you think? La Raza is as racist as it gets.
absolutely!!

so is LULAC
No. on the contrary:

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) – the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States – works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans. Through its network of nearly 300 affiliated community-based organizations (CBOs), NCLR reaches millions of Hispanics each year in 41 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. To achieve its mission, NCLR conducts applied research, policy analysis, and advocacy, providing a Latino perspective in five key areas – assets/investments, civil rights/immigration, education, employment and economic status, and health. In addition, it provides capacity-building assistance to its Affiliates who work at the state and local level to advance opportunities for individuals and families.

Founded in 1968, NCLR is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization headquartered in Washington, DC. NCLR serves all Hispanic subgroups in all regions of the country and has operations in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Antonio, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Ok, their actions:

NCLR National Issue Briefing and Advocacy Day 2007
Give voice to Latino priorities! NCLR’s National Issue Briefing and Advocacy Day is an opportunity for you to work with other Latino community organizations in holding your elected officials accountable for and responsive to the needs of the Hispanic community, and of all Americans. Come to the nation’s capital to strengthen the policies concerning health care, educational opportunities, workforce development, and comprehensive immigration reform.

They also have corporate support:

Corporate America has long understood the significance, in terms of both economic and societal impact, of America’s growing Hispanic community. Since its founding in 1968, NCLR has worked closely with major corporations to promote and institute initiatives that strengthen the Hispanic community and ensure the well-being and future prosperity of America. The following statistics illustrate the value of investing in this thriving market:

As of July 2004, the Hispanic population in the U.S. was 41.3 million, or 14% of the total population; it is projected that Latinos will account for more than one in four Americans by 2050.
50% of the Hispanic population is under age 25.
85% of Hispanics under 18 were born in the United States.
Latino’s buying power is more than $736 billion.
By 2010, it is expected that Hispanics will have more than $1 trillion in disposable income.
The U.S. Latino population remits billions of dollars to Latin America: $45.8 billion in 2004.

Traditionally, the Latino community has been discriminated and their rights denied. Having an organization to defend the lations is useful for them and for all Americans... Trying to keep Latinos down is the racist action!!
The name "The Race" says it all!
its like any other group; kkk, naacp, islamic groups, its all the same. so no i woulnt call it racist but just a group like any other race.
Just goes to show you that again, only the "white" people can be racist.
Yes they are...

Here is the breakdown on what is going on....

Corporations support the government (ie...lobbyist)---

In return the government supports the corporations need for cheap labor (because the lobbyist have paid them off)---

Therefore...the government supports illegal immigration (so the lobbyist will be happy about the cheap labor and keep giving them $$).

La Raza is all about illegal immigration...therefore ...they get support from the government and corporations.

Does that break it down simply enough for all you proamnsty....er..."people". (and I use that word loosely!!!)
Well, YEAH! "The Race?"

They aren't talking about the Iditarod, or the Indy 500.
The mere fact that they call their group LA RAZA (THE RACE), is racist to begin with.
First of all the term "racist" is so over used that its not even funny anymore. Are they race centered? Of course. Is that bad? All depends on where you stand. I wish everybody had an organization going to bat for them as powerful as La Raza. As it turns out few have the degree of solidarity it takes to pull this off. Whites will probably realize one day, and if we don't then we don't deserve to be preserved anyway.
There may come a time when whites may have to fight for there country again . But the mistake every one makes is they think we will always be nice .
many ppl dont quite understand the spanish language.. they know what words mean but to a certain extent.. look, La Raza doesnt mean The Race.. its much deeper than that.. with a meaning.. it stands for unity.. honor.. like all for one and one for all type of thing. its much more complicated then u guys will ever know. if you guys are going to comment on specific languages, make sure u know the language completely and not jus sum words.. and no theyre not racist.. some of the things they say i dont agree with and i support la raza..
