ok, they are criminals.feel better now? Why should we hear their side of the story? You can rave on about how bad it is for the Illegal alien...however, that is THEIR problem.not mine...I didnt tell them to cross the desert to come here and break our laws...they KNEW they were breaking the law...hence, they will suffer for their lack of vision...it is like an alcoholic on a binge who ends up in jail...he complains about his life...but no one bent his arm to take a drink either...

Illegal immigrants are criminals. Period, end of story. I really don't care why they are here, but they have broken laws and they indeed know that. If they are my neighbors I will report them.

Um... these are not *my* neighbors. Maybe they're yours, but certainly not mine. Mind you, I live in a conservative neighborhood. Nevertheless, illegal aliens commit violent and dangerous crimes at rates far above the national average, and that's ignoring the fact that 100% of them are criminals because they're here without a valid passport, have no visa, and are most likely falsifying their identification.
Oh, and the situation is *not that complicated*. It's quite simple. The only reason we have a full-scale illegal alien invasion today is because of our negligent lawmakers in the 1980's who crafted an illegal alien "solution" that simply provided a cheap, shadow labor force for the congressmen's friends.
yes I am angry about it. It is costing the US tax payer a bloody fortune. The negative impact on healthcare and education is well documented.

To give you an idea of "how much crime," in April 2005, the GAO released a report on a study of 55,322 illegal aliens incarcerated in federal, state, and local facilities during 2003. It found the following:
Of the 55,322 illegal aliens studied, researchers found that they were arrested a total of 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien.
They were arrested for a total of about 700,000 criminal offenses, averaging about 13 offenses per illegal alien.
49% had previously been convicted of a felony, 20% of a drug offense; 18% a violent offense, and 11%, other felony offenses.
81% of the arrests occurred after 1990
56% of those charged with a reentry offense had previously been convicted on at least 5 prior occasions.
Defendants charged with unlawful reentry had the most extensive criminal histories. 90% had been previously arrested. Of those with a prior arrest, 50% had been arrested for violent or drug-related felonies.
I dont want these people for neighbors. Period. End of conversation.
So much hate on this forum exists. It is sad that most people cannot go beyond "illegal is illegal" People coming to have a better life and being treated like criminals. I am very happy that amnesty is coming in 08-09

Ever wonder why they're fleeing their country in droves? I fully understand Mexico is an impoverished nation. But, we must ask ourselves why. It's because they are over-populated, in a nutshell. Over-population leads to a lack of jobs. A lack of jobs leads to poverty. Poverty leads to a life of crime to get by.
If we continue to let them all run here, we'll become exactly what they're running from. That, my friends, is the point in stopping this before it's too late.

The thing all you angry, hateful people are forgetting is that there is room for only so many; we can support only so many; once they become "Americans", what will they do when the next wave of illegal immigrants come and crash their party?
I believe in responsibilty, not blaming some one else for one's own laziness and refusal to work; why should I be blamed when their government is more corrupt than mine? They should fix their own problem, not expect someone too and get bent out of shape when the other person tries to help them!
The only ones I consider neighbors are the ones who bother to obey our laws and enter our country legally. Illegal immigrants are not my neighbors.

You're right. It gets old hearing illegal is illegal all the time...and hearing about what horrible criminals they are and how most of them are rapists and murderers and all this crap. It's crap. I know quite a few illegals because my husband is mexican and all of them are good people that really did just come over here to work and make a living. The problem is, all of those people that are being so hateful against illegals haven't even interacted with one! They have never taken the time of day to get to know them as people and that's sad. Americans think they are purposely trying to harm our economy, purposely over-crowding our schools, they talk about how illegals want us to speak THEIR language, which is a crock. I've never had one of my friends tell me that I needed to speak spanish. In fact many of them want to speak english but feel it is so hard. Americans act like people are just sitting over there in mexico conspiring against our country and thinking about how they can come here tax free and how they can bleed our system. They aren't!! The only reason they come here is to make enough money to support their families and they know this is where the money is. That's it! We need to stop treating them ALL like murderers and hardened criminals when they aren't! They are people!

The illegal immigrants do not want to be interviewed on television because it then exposes them to immigration officials. If they are on t.v., they have something over their face because they are in hiding.
