It is not their fault, the illegal immigrants, and I can't stand to see people dehumanize them.
It is not their fault because they're just trying to make a living, and provide for their family. Think of the conditions in Mexico. No where to work for lots of people, no way to get food, no way to provide for their family.
Say they tried to get citizen ship legally, but couldn't because they didn't have enough money, or some other reason. (there are a lot of them)
So what do they do? Sit around in Mexico and starve to death, or cross a border and have a job?

Sure, there are some bad people who bring drugs across. But that is not most people.
SO whose fault is it? The companies that hire these people. IF AMERICAN companies didn't hire them, they would have no motive for coming over.
It is the companies who should be blamed.

HELP THINGS IN MEXICO. Create jobs there. Then why would I.I. come here? They could work in Mexico.

I hear that they pay big money to hire coyotes. I'm betting that kind of money could feed their family for ages. I know if my family were starving, I would take those thousands of dollars and feed them,not go to another country illegally and leech off of those citizens.

They chose to leave their homeland, instead of working to effect change there.
They are responsible for using our health care system for free and not offering to pay a single dime. If they have an anchor baby, they can apply for and receive food stamps.
It is naive to say it is not their fault. They made a choice, but demand rewards for violating our nation's laws and sovereignty.
That said it is also the responsibility of any company or person who hires any illegal alien and pays them a pittance to save themselves a few bucks. That is also illegal and should be penalized.
It is also the responsibility of the Mexican government who encourages this illegal exodus to the US for their own economic gain. It is a campaign issue there. How to get more across our border.
It is also the responsibility of the US government for blindly not enforcing the laws of the US currently on the books.
It is not the fault of the average American taxpayer. But it is the burden of the average American taxpayer who currently are providing free education, health care, etc to them.
Edit: They don't HAVE to run over here. They could stay and advocate for change there. No one forced them to come here.
No one held a gun to their head and told them to cross the border. It is not the responsibility of the US people to create jobs in Mexico, it is their responsibility. As long as this exodus to the US is allowed to continue and the illegals are given any sort of rewards for breaking our laws, the Mexican gov't will have no incentive to improve conditions there.
We have limits for a reason, amongst them to protect our services like education and health care for our own people, and our wage structure.
People who come illegally are taking what doesn't belong to them, and at $10,000 per child per year to educate a child in California, that money is being taken from our own children in our failing, overcrowded schools taught on year round schedules by teachers on emergency credentials. A ruined education is irreplacable, and their children are NOT more important than ours, particularly when WE are footing the bill (they can't pay enough in taxes even if they pay taxes to begin to cover this cost.)

No, illegal immigrants are not the problem. Illegals typically take the worst jobs that no american would ever consider doing. The majority of them make so little money that they wouldn't pay income tax if they were actual "citizens," so when people go off on how the country is losing tax dollars, that's ridiculous. The problem is the fundamental laziness of the general public. People believe they're "too good" to be taking jobs cleaning the bathroom or washing the dishes or cooking hamburgers.
There are both good and bad people who have come from Mexico...and I'm sure more a lot more good than bad. Regardless to the people who point fingers and want to blame the culture/race as the reason for not supporting this, yes, we would feel the same way if it was millions of people from Europe. It is easier for people like that to blame race because they have no real point to behind the problem.
Why? Because with all the policies and regulations that have been in place for years concerning immigration...legal Americans just feel that these laws have been ignored for too long. We are not just upset with the illegals...we are also upset with our government for allowing this to happen.
Yes, you are very correct in saying that American companies are to blame. If they did not hire them, then the problem wouldn't have esculated to the point that it has. We want these companies prosecuted as well. We have been asking for just as much as everything else. The companies are not the only one to blame, the illegal immigrants who knowingly broke are laws are the other 50% to blame.
America have been creating jobs in Mexico. I can name numerous American corporations who have moved some operations down to Mexico--my last two employers were some of them. We have quietly allowed some of our jobs to go overseas and across the border.
Also, we are questioning the concept of if Mexico is that bad, then why is their government still in operation? We know that it must be corrupt. If Mexico is not willing to provide for their people then the real question should be why should Mexico be allowed to operate as an independent country? People should rally against their government because ignoring the problem is not going to solve anything.
While America is built on immigration, I think many Americans lost some respect and compassion for illegals when they protested waving Mexico's flag and saying that they were not illegal. They need to keep in mind that this was a huge insult and disrespect to us.

Yeah, a few completely WRONG things with the answers on here. First of all that "big money" they pay coyotes isn't really much (about 1,500) and they get all of their families to raise up money or spend years raising that pitiful amount. In short, they can't survive on that. All you people talk about "fixing" their country, one phrase for you, "easier said than done". You arrogant people think it's just some kind of overnight thing that can be done with the snap of someones fingers. "oh we fought the british, why can't they fight their own corrupt government" Well, the british were 3 months away and the fire power was nearly equal. Plus the british didn't have the help of other superpowers. Nowadays, revolutionaries might have a few ak's while the government has ak's, missiles, snipers, etc. etc. Plus the government is days away, not months. i totally agree with you, i live in mexico( well not for too log im going to barcelona to study ejej) they go to usa because were they live like in oaxaca o chiapas were there's only jungle and ther is the lowest educational levels in the nation there is the real problen the goverment should inverst in education it's the key to evrything in mexico there are job everywere but the key is the higer education you have the most economical remuneration you have
Wow great question but lets not forget the central Americans the people from the Philippines and one young lady I know personally from Ethiopia who was sold into slavery used as a sexual slave escaped there found her way to Mexico and then to here the girl was 17 at the time. I have many friends from all countries here legally and illegally and I want for each of them a prosperous life.
Everyone is responsible for their own choices good or bad. I'd like to see the same mercy, tolerance, and charity towards poor American citizens that you're showing to Mexican border crossers. Many times poor Americans are accused of being lazy, making bad choices, refusing to get educated or whatever when in fact they are excluded in favor of someone else. Why is it that I can't get a data entry job through the state job service? Right now the only one listed insists I speak Korean. Is this still America?
