Illegal Immigration Solution?

Every year we detain and deport tens of thousands of illegal immigrants in the US,the vast majority are guilty of other crimes in addition to the crime of illegal entry, such as document fraud, tax evasion etc. Why doesn't the US govt try them for these crimes and make them serve their jail terms before deportation, wouldn't this be a huge deterrent to illegal immigration? After all no amount of free health care and tax free income is going to be worthy it if it regularly comes with a two year jail term at the end of it.

Answer:
Incarceration. The cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in Arizona prisons and jails amounts to about $80 million a year (not including the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration).

The cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in California's prisons and jails amounts to about $1.4 billion a year (not including related law enforcement and judicial expenditures or the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration).

The uncompensated cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in Texas’s state and county prisons amounts to about $150 million a year (not including local jail detention costs or related law enforcement and judicial expenditures or the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration).

We would still be paying for their food, housing, medical care and misc. And they still could come back after their release from prison . We must secure the border for this revolving door to be closed and escalating costs
for the illegal aliens to end.
Why don't we keep the hot ones and have babies with them? I think that is a better idea.
I think it would be more economically feasible to shoot every third illegal in the head with a .22 bullet...now THAT would be a deterrent.
Do you know the expenses it takes to house criminals? Illegal or not? That wouldn't deter anything… It would just allow them another be here for a few years crowding up the jail cells. Where would all the criminals go?
There are many articles but I listed a few below that are decent.
Of course everyone's views are different, as mine are also slightly different.
It isnt going to be easy. Obviously we dont want to alienate the potential immigrants or the population already living within the US. But we do need to come to terms with what some of the basic problems actually are and address them.
I am sure that the immigrant population will be even more grateful than we might be. They, more than anybody else, want the process to be as legal and accepted as anyone.
Have an open prison in the desert have no TV, no a/c. Out side toilets, & showers. Want 2 make then feel like home. They can build there own housing, grow the own food. In there off time build the fence on the border .Instead of weight lifting.
That would sure make them think twice on breaking our laws..
They are starting to, but our prisons are crowded, then people don't want to separate families, then when the government builds special family facilities so even just those prior to deportation can stay together which even have some school and recess, they are vilified for 'keeping children in prison' even though the children, too, are often illegally here.
I'm with Spud!!! And, since i live in the southwestern desert.......??
