join the army
1) Be born American
2) Marry a U.S. citizen
3) Apply for naturalization on your own
4) Come as a tourist
5) Come as a nurse, doctor, or one of the other special occupations
6) Be one who can ask asylum
7) Come as a student
There are others, but I believe that this covers the most common ones.
