Senators, and Governors by Name or State.

This politician makes the most sense - I'd say send your emails, and phone calls to his office. At least he would get opportunity to present them to the Senate.
Sen. Byron Dorgan (news, bio, voting record), D-N.D., wants to strike the temporary worker program, arguing that it harms American workers and depresses wages.

Toll free number -
Are you willing to start calling your senators? It is toll free, here is the main switchboard number: 1-800-862-5530 simply ask for your senator(s). As well, you can email them, and with your cell phones, call after 9, you can call their direct numbers and leave messages, and you did not have to pay one thin dime.

2 choices. Email your legislators and tell them you will actively work to have them thrown out of office if they vote for this clusterfu.this piece of crap legislation.
Or
A very tall wall and claymore mines.
Write to your Congressmen. Call your congressmen and encourage them to secure our borders.
Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !
it would be nice if the federal government took federal law seriously enough to enforce it.
that being said, we can do any number of things.
1) write your congressman/woman and tell her how you feel about this
2) boycott businesses that employ illegal immigrants
3) increase border security and *not* arrest border guards for doing their jobs (remember the two who now face 10 and 11 years in prison for shooting a mexican drug dealer)
4) build a fence, which is what's really needed
5) join in with "anti-amnesty" organizations.
Too late. Vent all you want, but the time to have gotten involved was about 25 years ago. http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0308...
Well. I have one idea but I don't like it, and I think not a lot of people would like it. I HOPE WE NEVER HAVE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
We could draft all illegal immigrants and send them to Iraq or North Korea. This, in turn would make even more people hate us and scare the living sh*t out of da#n near everyone.
I just answered a similar question minutes ago. It can't be stopped. It will be moderated eventually but never "solved". There is too much incentive for both parties, and huge risks involved for each. Look at it like this: Republicans have a tough illegal immigration facade. Without low-cost laborers, there would be fewer discretionary funds to spend on, hmmm, i don't know... campaign contributions to those that allow for low cost labor. That's the reason for the Republican stagnation on the issue. The Dems will simply have a larger voting base if they're allowed in, because they can eventually vote for amnesty and citizenship/voting rights.
You can be as infuriated as you want about it on either side, but look at it objectively. It won't be solved.
Oh, and a note to patois. Your link should be removed because that's definitely not an objective reference. Small breakeven farmers are just as involved in the utilization of low-cost labor as "corporations". Not an attack, just a note. : )
My vote goes for stop handing out free rides to them and start spending more effort on the average american.
We can't and we won't,it is in the interest of this country to have them, what we can do is demand that our borders be secure now.So go ahead and vent all you want and write to your congressman all you want, the truth is most americans benefit from having them around.
I disagree with the benefits of illegals being for Americans. The only ones who benefit are the politicians for future votes. And we are run by corporations in the end.
Numbers USA has a excellent fax program. They make it real easy to fax your senator. Just go to their site, register, and start faxing. They also provide phone numbers etc.
Once you are signed up, invite all of your friends to join as well. It is fast, easy and convienient. There should be no "I just don't have time" excuses. I faxed both my Senators and President Bush from their site today in less than two minutes. It is just that easy.

Write all your representatives, the media, anyone who will listen. Join anti-amnesty groups. Refuse to conduct business with employers who knowingly hire illegals. Demand your representatives do the following things:
1. Close the loophole that allows for "anchor babies". This will slow a lot of the flow as there will be no toe-hold for them.
2. Prosecute employers who hire illegals. The employer is supposed to verify the people they hire are legally authorized to work, if they don't they should be punished. Also if you stop the people from employing them illegally there will be no reason for them to come looking for jobs.
3. Enforce current immigration laws. The laws are good as they are they simply need to be enforced.
4. Secure the border.
5. Support zero-tolerance for illegals.
The government has tried amnesty before, it did not fix the situation instead the number of illegals (from things I have read) increased from approx 4 million to 12 million. If we do not enforce the immigration laws they have no reason to follow any of our laws. Amnesty (in any form) is a slap in the face to the law-abiding citizens and legal immigrants of this country. They will be rewarding the law-breakers and punishing the people who have done the right thing. Also, let your representatives know how they handle this matter WILL be reflected come elections.
it is simple but not possible at this time we still have not reach the spiritual consciousness. material obstacles political charades and most important hate among human beings does not let us see the need of others to accomplish what they need to survive because while in other countries people struggle to find a grain of meal on the floor here we indulge or selves. we eat the best meals that our money can buy and forget about all the rest of the world why not after all we are self centred individuals and as long as we ok we don t care about the misfortune of the others sad but true that is why we can t solve anything because we are the problem.
The American people responded to congress and senate regarding the Port Deal and Dubai, The deal was cancelled due to public outcry. the same can happen here on immigration if all Americans contact their respective congressman and senator. express your reasons why you disagree with this amnesty of illegals.
The point is: let your VOICE be heard with the congress and senate. Just say something! If you are against this immigration amnesty debacle, then VOICE your concern. By saying nothing you are by default accepting this immigration mess.
Consider this: if the illegal immigrants are sending $23 Billion a year to Mexico and they become Americans, then they will stop sending that money to Mexico. Bear in mind the 2 main sources of income to Mexico are $23 Billion and oil exports, but oil exports in Mexico are dropping fast, the Cantrell field is in rapid decline. So Mexico will be losing the 2 main sources of income for the country. If You think Mexico was in bad shape a week ago, wait till 15 million illegals are granted amnesty, the $23 Billion transfer will stop stone cold, in addition Mexico oil production to the USA which has been dropping in the past year will continue to drop.
Less oil = less $$$!
* note* The USA buys most of our oil from Mexico, then Canada, then from elsewhere like Saudi Arabia.
what i am trying to say is that this amnesty program.will make it worse for Mexico than currently. The USA can look forward to at least 10 to 20 million MORE illegal immigrants taking over the jobs and lowering the wages of the new hispanic americans just granted amnesty. Just trying to feed their families.
call/email or visit your congressman and senator and express your discuss with this immigration issue. Make your voice be heard. remind your congressman and senator you will not be donating money to their campaign if they vote yes on this immigration problem.
I don't know the answer, but the bill proposed is NOT the right one!
Vote on ANYTHING that will take away medical, social and monatary benifits to illigals. They will soon see that Mexico ain't that bad. They will "SELF _ DEPORT" themselves.
So remember to VOTE on anything - even if it is REMOTE and you do not think it might be a threat in the neer future. VOTE AGAINST IT>
During the summer I have a lot of ants that find their way into my kitchen, I can step on and kill 10, 20 or even a 100, but the very next day, there’re back, it wasn’t until I found the nest and sprayed them, poisoned them and burned them, then they stopped invading my home. The same principle applies to illegal aliens. Remember its not about race, color, nationality, or ethnicity, Americans come in many colors and with many different backgrounds, but Americans don’t illegally immigrate into other nations, its about Borders, Language and Culture, The American Way of Life. If I wanted to live in Mexico, I would have moved to Mexico, I don’t want to import anymore of Mexico’s poor, they need to take care of their own problems.
