If you commit an illegal act to obtain a result for your own personal gain - it is wrong. It does not matter if you are entering a country illegally or committing any other illegal act.
Ask any offender and they all have an excuse - that doesn't make their actions right. So they are all criminals... some just have better stories and get more news coverage.
This issue can be over simplified and distilled down too far, to the point where it becomes meaningless. Apparently that's all some minds can handle.
