How many days I can stay in U.S.A. as a visitor?

I used to be six months, but after 9/11 things changed a lot.
Now it basically depends on the custom agent who allows you (or denies you) the entrance into US territory.
They will ask what is the reason for your trip and upon that they decide whether or not you are eligible to enter the US and how much time you can stay.
I know people who was allowed only 2 weeks because that is what they said they would spent, it worked ok for them.
You're Canadian...ah...stay as long as you want... :)
It depends on whatever the border tells you.
Visitors visas normally last 6 months, but the border people can cut that down to whatever they want, or not even let you cross at all.
