I came as a turist to USA and want to fix status; what police records could affect me in doing it so?
Answer:
This will have some affect on your Immigration petition...they are going to want to know everything about this arrest...it's not a felony, so it's not that big of a deal, just keep all of your paperwork from this arrest, because they will most likely RFE (Request for Evidence) later.and DON'T Do It Again!
If you're going to be just another druggy then please go back to your country.
Marijuana. You setting up yourself for you to eventually get a green card.
Depends i it was misdemeanor or a felony. If its a felony you could have your application refused.
Unfortunately a drug offense of any kind is frowned upon, normally if you had have come up with that in your system during you aquiring a visa you would have been turned down, the 3 things that will mess up immigration are: drugs, theft and violence. get a good lawyer to get your case thrown out of court, you can do this yourself by telling the judge you are going home the next week after 6 months there will nothing in court/public records.
Or if your lawyer gets it thrown out wait and have the arrest quashed afterwards :)
they probably wont let you in. Why do you want to live in the USA anyway? I hear drugs are much more expensive
hmmm...I think you may be deported. Since you came in under B1 and you and ur girlfriend have not yet got married. That means your not an US citizen. You broke the law, you may be going home and ask your gf to marry u in ur country. The reason I said so is because when I was still in college, a friend of mine who was from Japan got into a fight. Of course, he was under F1, he was deported after that incident, even though he had not yet finished the school, . So I think you need to be prepared.
