I want her to get a B2 visa for tourism. However, she needs to let the embassy know why she is coming here and has to have someone sponsor her. What country is she from. This matters a lot. Does she have any family here? Has she ever been before? They will ask her all of those questions? Anyone with an income above poverty line can sponsor her. I don't know that it would be any better for you parents to sponsor her. It's about the same. I'd tell them that she is coming to visit friends and be honest. They really should not have any reasn to deny her.
