I guess when you've never had anything it's hard to understand that after generations of working towards something you aren't exactly thrilled at the idea of having a bunch of ungreatful people just come and take it from you with the help of your government. Trust me.in a few hundred years you're decendants won't go down without a fight either. Each generation will hear the hardships of the previous ones and try to do better. Once they start becomming what those hopes were all for..they aren't going to lay down, roll over and hand it out without a fight when people come from somewhere else because they want it too. And will do anything to take it from you. Including breaking the law. I don't think you fight and die for something just to be pushed aside for a new wave of people or some secret government agenda after all that.

Being anti illegal doesn't mean you have a stick up your butt, it means you have a working brain in your head. Let's put everything aside for a second... all of the hate, all of the compassion... and let's evaluate the true facts... even if it causes you uncomfortable feelings. We are limited in resources. Population is an issue here. As the population grows, we need to provide more streets, more schools, more housing, more hospitals, etc. Each new person here causes more air and water pollution. Can we afford this? Do you have children? What will be left for them? Can you even see past your nose?
We already accept more LEGAL immigrants than every other country in the world combined. Why should we be held to such a high standard? Why do we have to open the door to even more people when we can hardly handle what is here now?
