Great question, they say that, then you read about farmers not having the help they need to harvest the fruit and veggies!
I think it should be more about illegals taking welfare that Americans are paying for. 15 to 20 million of them here and 41% on welfare.
I bet if you go and look at the people working on the bush ranch in texas, they will be Illegals. A couple of years ago, Clintons driver was arrested because he was illegal.
They want cheap labor and have the American tax payers to foot the bill.
The honest, hard working people of this country are being robbed of their country and birthright, there will be nothing left for us to pass along to our children and grandchildren if amnesty is passed. The illegals have invaded our country and our own president has let it happen, Ted K and John M will shove it upon us if we let them.
Call your reps in washington and tell them no AMNESTY!

The people claiming that illegal immigrants are doing all the dirty and unwanted jobs are not the illegal immigrants, but instead people with an agenda to be served by making the claim.
Very good point, I agree... it goes back to the misconception that if all the illegals went away America would faulter and fail because Americans are lazy and dont want to do the work. It's actually the complete opposite.
I think it says more about the problems of the "working poor" than it does about immigration (legal or not).

Because it's a myth that illegals only do the jobs that Americans don't want to do. The truth is illegals do the jobs Americans do, but for a ton less money. I love the TV show Dirty Jobs. It's great.
alot of times illegal aliens are taken advantage of and considered cheap labor. where there's a shortage of employees they are highly likely to take in illegal immigrants not considering their citizenship status. i'm not saying they don't care cause well for the most part they don't but they turn the other cheek to the law. plus alot of the jobs on dirty jobs are jobs that are done by highly trained individuals. and i can't imagine them accepting work on a job site knowing there are illegal aliens on there. i wouldn't. of course i am one that doesn't agree with them trying to give them amnesty. i think they can become citizens the right way. through the guidelines of the law.
your right, i have wondered the same thing. all i ever seen on that show is Americans doing the dirtiest jobs that are out their.
maybe its because its television? I mean the producers pretty much choose the location,choose the people that will be on there and based off of all that will only choose the people they feel will pull in the most ratings. now that you mentioned it i'm kind of wondering why on wife swaps you never have any latina families in there. Or any families that live in apartments and not very good conditions.most of them live in somewhat nice homes and in nice neighborhoods.not in the hood.......hmmmmm
You might be to something there. if they are doing these kinds of jobs, Why are they not in view of the camera?
