How many Democrats, and/or Liberals out there are against this Amnesty bill? Stand-up and be counted please..
In fact, I don't know ONE SINGLE PERSON that believes this bill is "good" for our country (not one!), and I as well as my circle are as Democratic and Liberal as they come.
So Dems and Libs, tell me...are you for or against this Amnesty bill?

I'm not a liberal, or Democrat, I'm pretty much an independent, but I have several friends that are liberal and none of them are for this. Like you, I don't know anyone who thinks this is good for the country.

I was really hoping for something that, for once, put Americans first. When you think about it, that hasn't happened in some time. However, it has been the tradition over the years to give the illegals a path to citizenship and then not enforce the law. That is no doubt why we still have this problem and will continue to have this problem with this bill.

this bill was supported and created by both sides, pelosi as well as bush had huge says in the language of it.
Although im not happy that they're being allowed to stay, thats what we get for having a flawed immigration policy for the past 200 years.
I mean it does suck that they get to stay, but people complain about how much tax money they waste, which is true, but how expensive do you think it would be to find and deport every illegal immigrant. This also forces them to make up for at least part of their free loading by paying 5,000 to the government. Its not perfect but this should have been figured out 200 years ago and i think there just isnt any fixing a problem thats been around that long.
I'm a liberal, i dont support it nor oppose it, i just think its the most logical approach unless we want to pay huge ammounts of taxes to get them all deported. To me, that wouldnt be worth it in terms of tax money we would all have to pay to get them all deported.

I am a moderate republican.The bill is flat, it doesn't excite me in the least.I still think our politician are completely disconnected from the people they serve.Truely this could have been an opportunity to really adress this issue, but as usual they missed the boat.
I really think this is an American issue, not a party issue. If we start tearing into party lines with it, we will divide and lose our strength against it. This is one thing that we all need to be able to work together on - we are Americans first, party second.

I am against any amnesty for illegals, period. I am a flaming liberal. These illegals are taking our lower skilled and highly skilled jobs, that American citizens and legal residents are willing to take. In fact, many illegal alien groups are getting so arrogant, that they are organizing into labor unions and demanding higher wages and health care benefits. As a matter of fact, I was ready to back John McCain for President, but he done shot himself in the foot now.
